Re: Knox / Henderson - Knox Street Side

I'll see if I can dig up the old proposal for comparisons sake of what they might have changed. There was a video leaked out maybe summer of 2017 with renderings from before Sarofim sold to MSD. Perhaps Sarofim created it to show future potential. I seem to remember there were 4-5 story buildings, ...

^ Yes, exactly. According to the plans the entire west side of Travis will be replaced, down to Cafe Madrid on Armstrong. Re: Knox / Henderson - Knox Street Side

I looked at the Retail Connection plot and totally missed the new street. Some thoughts 1) I hope those four lots are not just future parking garages—would it be cheaper to just make a donation to DART to open Knox-Henderson subway stop? 2) perhaps the four lots could have retail facing the streets ...

This DMN story by Maria Halkias is a couple of months old now, but I guess I missed it. Typically, the sale (or ground lease) would be contingent on zoning approval. I don’t imagine they will tear down anything until they have approval in hand.

Saw the tower this morning while driving into downtown, from the I-30 ramp turning north onto I-35, dome shining bright in the sun like a brand new penny. Looking forward to updates as construction gets underway. Construction is already at least halfway vertical. It’s going up dizzyingly fast. Parking garage going up behind new RH (in the background).
