The owner of this building is Headington, isn't it? I doubt he ever has to jump through any hoops. Seems to have carte blanche. He demolished some of the oldest buildings in Dallas without any pain whatsoever. I think it's fairly clear with recent developments that most of City Hall can be bought. ...

Work has resumed on the Drever as of yesterday. They are removing marble from the Northeast face of the building and they're doing something with the windows higher up on the East face. Good news!

After several months of no visible activity, yesterday I saw them extending the north side construction wall onto the DART platform. Maybe prepping for removal of the rest of the marble on that side? Who knows. At least they're doing something again.

If I remember correctly from the original proposal it's an elevator available to the public that would take you to the top level/rooftop restaurant without going through the hotel.

A crew is working on the cladding of the Davis building garage on the Elm Street side. Started yesterday and have so far just removed 3 small rectangular sections, so I can't tell what exactly the intent is.

There were originally 115 units shown on DCAD. When units are combined, the combined units then show up on DCAD as one unit. Thanks. We had happy hour there last night. I actually like the wood screens. They're easy to take down if (when?!?) that part of town gets a little more friendly, but in the meantime it's a nice way to block the street/parking lot activity.

We walked by the Centrum last night and decided that it now looks about 20 years old instead of 40. Not a huge improvement. And it is still very unfriendly from the first floor facing the sidewalk, especially on the Oak Lawn side.
