Maybe this will be the start of the re-invention and re-use of this property and area. Less retail, more dense living and office.

Thank goodness with this and the Trammel Crow development off of Maple this area could see some real growth upwards and denser. This area bordered between Maple the tollway Oak lawn and Cedar Springs is ripe for further development. I live here and love the easy connectivity to everything.

Strangely all of the bases for the light post on this property have been painted green. I have no idea what's up with that.
So sad this one should have already been coming out of ground and on its way.

Maybe just wait for a hyperloop project that connects Dallas Austin and Houston in a circulating triangle and build it all at the same time. Seems like this train will never happen and a hyperloop system might be able to connect directly to the urban centers of all three cities.

I wish Dallas was more of an urban condo tower type of city but it just isn't so much. People still want their land with Olympic swimming pools and tennis courts up north. Oh well some progress has been made over the last 30 years but not near enough.

If we could develop south of the river with denser developments and also new housing further south we could move the needle but as it stands we have a southern sector that isn't being fully utilized. Taking that into consideration it is amazing that we have the numbers as is.

I have always thought that the most competitive aspect of downtown is that it can truly provide the only real big city urban experience to the entire region. Make it the go to place for those seeking out that lifestyle to move to and business will eventually come back to office market.

Both Houston and Dallas need a lot more density as these large cities are still mostly comprised of single house neighborhoods. Dallas needs about 5 Uptowns within it's city limits to move the population up.

I wish the city and the players in this area would create a unified visual landscape and plan to make it more like the district in Houston. Seems like there are enough players and pieces in place to make that happen and even generate growth in the area beyond the medical area.

I'll give you San Francisco only out of their density and expense but in the others I see cars everywhere just like here and tons of parking and the AC cranked.
