Thank goodness with this and the Trammel Crow development off of Maple this area could see some real growth upwards and denser. This area bordered between Maple the tollway Oak lawn and Cedar Springs is ripe for further development. I live here and love the easy connectivity to everything.

Strangely all of the bases for the light post on this property have been painted green. I have no idea what's up with that.

Maybe just wait for a hyperloop project that connects Dallas Austin and Houston in a circulating triangle and build it all at the same time. Seems like this train will never happen and a hyperloop system might be able to connect directly to the urban centers of all three cities.

I was down there last weekend and I have to say it is looking so bad now that it appears Dallas has abandoned this area. Sad to invest and build all of these great buildings and put our Arts all on one street but when the street looks bad it all looks bad.

I wish Dallas was more of an urban condo tower type of city but it just isn't so much. People still want their land with Olympic swimming pools and tennis courts up north. Oh well some progress has been made over the last 30 years but not near enough.

If you look at that picture looking towards downtown I totally can see this area getting more towers they are right at our doorstep. I would love to see this area go up and densify a lot more and replace the aging properties.

I noticed surveyors today at the corner of Cedar Springs and Throckmorton on the JR's side. Maybe related to work beginning on the two towers behind there. I hope soon.

Drove by here today and noticed a new fence placard up with images stretching around the property. This is going to be prominent along with the apartment tower behind it.

If we could develop south of the river with denser developments and also new housing further south we could move the needle but as it stands we have a southern sector that isn't being fully utilized. Taking that into consideration it is amazing that we have the numbers as is.

I have always thought that the most competitive aspect of downtown is that it can truly provide the only real big city urban experience to the entire region. Make it the go to place for those seeking out that lifestyle to move to and business will eventually come back to office market.

I never thought the tall building was the Goldman building but was part of the mixed use building as part of the larger development. Not sure why everyone is upset. I would accept almost anything over those 1990's suburban apartments that are hogging and blocking up that area.

It is related to the developer not Central Market. It could be a myriad of issues with financing, zoning, permits etc. when I spoke with the person at Central Market they said that they were at the mercy of the developer but hoped for an April kickoff. They had me at Coldest Martini.

They’ll serve “the world’s coldest martinis” (a theme at other Vandelay restaurants) alongside oysters. Anchor Bar will also have a smashburger on the menu. And a filet.

Both Houston and Dallas need a lot more density as these large cities are still mostly comprised of single house neighborhoods. Dallas needs about 5 Uptowns within it's city limits to move the population up.

I wish the city and the players in this area would create a unified visual landscape and plan to make it more like the district in Houston. Seems like there are enough players and pieces in place to make that happen and even generate growth in the area beyond the medical area.

At least the residential is closer to 30 stories and it says they will bury all parking for the project. Also that is a large park for that area. More density for that area.

I'll give you San Francisco only out of their density and expense but in the others I see cars everywhere just like here and tons of parking and the AC cranked. I think it stems more from a density land lock issue. People will use cars if it is easy cheap and fast until density changes that equation...
