Yeah, it's pretty sad. I think Dude Sweet Chocolate just has temporary hours. Queso Beso is temporarily closed too. La Tarte Tropezienne seems to be doing really well, Chop House Burger and Freshii are still open.

I've been going to downtown for runs on weekday evenings, and to hangout at certain times day/night on the weekends. I personally haven't seen or heard of protests in weeks. Did I miss something?

La Tarte Tropezienne opened this weekend. I stopped by twice Saturday and Sunday, and both times it was pretty busy. This shot was taken close to 9pm on a Sunday night.

This area has always struggled. I was downtown last night, and even on a Sunday night I was surprised at how many people were just walking around, walking dogs, or on the scooters, all along EMC. The Arts District really doesn't have anything going on right now, so yes, it's pretty desolate.

I hadn't realized this project was so big. Sidewalks are fairly decent on Live Oak, but they do get really narrow towards the entrance.

^ I think so. If I'm remembering correctly, I think they were gutting that space. The dry cleaners in the photo above, is on the Jackson Street side of the DPL building.

Jaxon was doing pretty well this weekend. Even with a lot of things shut down, several people were making use of the spread out seating. I really hope it spills over onto Browder Street. I hadn't noticed, but there's a dry cleaners taking a section of the DPL building.

The finish out of this project is really good. It will definitely be a destination for downtown once everything is up and running. I really like how they made the dead space along Commerce into a large patio.

I just went by last night, and all the restaurants were still open for take-out: Shiva's, iFratteli, Tiff's Treats, and a new empanada place I didn't even know had open-end there. The only one closed, besides the CVS was a hair salon.

There has to be a happy medium between the ultra high-end retail and the chain retail/restaurant found at Sundance. I appreciate downtown FW's success, but every time I visit, it feels like I'm at a bigger Firewheel.

It's good to see the front of the Knights of Pythias building finally redone. Went running through here a couple days ago. The new sidewalks and trees would make it a pretty pleasant walk all the way to the East Quarter.

It's looking great. I was there probably a week ago. Landscaping look maintained and overall pretty clean. It wasn't empty, actually, people were kicking the ball around, walking dogs, running, etc. It wasn't crowded so people did maintain their distances.
