I just read that article, and I think that was the state of downtown several weeks ago. I go to downtown to run and exercise at least once a week in the evenings, and there's a decent amount of activity for being in a pandemic. This area has always struggled. I was downtown last night, and even on a Sunday night I was surprised at how many people were just walking around, walking dogs, or on the scooters, all along EMC. The Arts District really doesn't have anything going on right now, so yes, it's pretty desolate.
