Lots of parking lots around these towers that were once considered the first "suburban" towers outside of Dallas. It would be nice if they were able to repurpose the parking areas into high rise living space.

People would cross the tollway if there was a good enough reason to do so. People cross Michigan Avenue in Chicago and Connecticut Avenue in DC and both of those are wide and very busy. My brand new 1000 square ft 2 bedroom garden apartment in Richardson next to a train track was $1300 in 2001, which the inflation calculator says is $1800 in 2017, so you really aren't paying that much of a premium for an Uptown high rise apartment, comparably. From what I understand there is a plan in place to connect Legacy West to the Shops over the top of the tollway. From Legacy West it should be easier to connect to all future development going west around JCP.
