While there may be people fleeing Downtown Dallas for the 'burbs, there are also still many people 'fleeing' other cities to come to Dallas and I'm sure many of them will continue to move to urban Dallas. I guess we'll see what happens in the next few years, but I'm not really concerned for Downtown...

I think we're more likely to see improvements made to Oak Lawn ave than Lemmon, especially now that we are seeing proposals for some high-rise. Perhaps if that trend continues along Oak Lawn (which I imagine it will), it might eventually spill over to other streets such as Lemmon.

Making some real progress recently. I wonder if that single-story section inside the U is a later addition and can be demolished. Would be perfect for a large covered patio/game room. Sounds good to me! The walk from the Omni to anywhere Downtown isn't really pleasant, even though it's not all that far.
The Hyatt, on the other hand, just feels too isolated from the rest of Downtown to really make it walkable to anything.
