Why would the Green line be a negative for Deep Ellum this seems so contrary to other urban cities where they would want transit. Not sure I understand. Even Los Angeles of all places is adding more rail and stations why would Dallas not want more instead of less transit.

The Fairmount would look a thousand percent better and true to its original architecture by painting over that horrible pink color with just a simple good white paint and removing the ridiculous facade over the valet entrance..

Meanwhile the residents of urban Dallas are begging for more stations and transit options and these people don't even want the train up in their suburban neighborhoods. I still don't believe in this line and would rather have diverted this money to D2 and opening up more urban stations.

I heard some gossip from a very well integrated restaurant owner that has multiple places in Dallas and the metro that a great reckoning is coming as there is too much space in centers for restaurants and the leases being signed are way to high making most concepts unsustainable. I think this area is ripe for redevelopment I work just across the highway at Lincoln Center and there are not a lot of good food options or much else nearby for all of the office buildings in this corridor I think it is very under served and not convenient. It also is a great location for business ...

Fortunately I do not live or work up that way but when I seldom visit from the urban part of Dallas I don't understand the appeal as I find the traffic in that area from Plano to Frisco with terrible traffic issues that will only get worse with no transit planned.

With all of the development running from Downtown all the way up to Frisco and beyond on the tollway would it be feasible to run a raised rail line all the way up to Frisco. It seems that this corridor is where the most office and residential growth is happening and I know a tunnel is not ever going...

Deep Ellum is starting to feel similar to the early days of Chicago West loop area when Google moved in. I think this area will follow what happened there which is a great thing.

With what is happening on Ross and Flora and all the way to the Park this part of downtown is coming together really nice. If they can come up with a plan to redo Flora along the Arts District it should all become super activated.

Maybe the compromise is a tolled tunnel. You still have access but have to pay for it and Dallas gets that land and development above it. Those that don't want to pay the toll can use the horseshoe around downtown.

I think the coffee shop is doing well but that location tucked on the side street is not the best for a casual food joint. Also the service left a lot to be desired. This spot might be better suited to a retail service business. I did love their fried pickle spears though....

I really like the hotel but it still feels to me very separated from the urban part of Dallas. This entire area needs to develop density in the future to make this property not feel so lonely and isolated.

If they were to bury 345 then would it also bury and connect into the trenched 75 and the end of woodall rogers. Seems if burying is the way then do it all the way and open that entire end of downtown and uptown to developement with no above ground highway.

I don't think that site has enough direct walk-able density to make that model work there even with the $700000. Maybe it should sit idle or become a restaurant. I love the ones downtown but they have a lot more people constantly passing in and out of the store than I think this site would.

Could be some perception change but what I keep hearing from people from both coast and Chicago is all taxes taxes taxes. I think that word is getting out more than anything else. They can come here and have more square feet maybe a pool and nice cars on what they save in housing cost and taxes.
