Maybe it's because I'm new, but what's so bad about the AAC?

Re: Downtown: The Drever
I have the pleasure of seeing it every day from my office. The last two weeks they have been removing the dirt and overgrown vegetation from the rooftop. There's a front-end loader moving dirt as I type. I have yet to see people moving around in the tower itself, thought. It appears to be pretty wel...

I, too, am glad Corrigan Tower is being redeveloped. To me, it has the perfect street-level aesthetic to interact with the eventual Pacific Park Plaza across the street. I really hope they use that space to it's full potential.

Re: Uptown Dallas: McKinney & Olive Tower | 335 FT / 21 ST
From personal experience, quite a lot of people are still somewhat avoiding that area because of all the construction and development nearby. It seems many folks are waiting until it's complete to start enjoying it; as if the current construction is an inconvenience...

Re: The West End
I drove through the area last night, and it's surprisingly clean and accessible. It would be a great entertainment space, once that part of West End gets more energy.

Re: Dallas Area Rapid Transit
It's a big win. It's a quantity vs quality type of scenario for downtown. It will certainly take longer to get the project finished, but the end result is another route without slicing off two neighborhoods once again. Not to mention that it can also run faster due to it not being at grade-level. T...

Dallas Area Rapid Transit
Big news from the DART meeting last night: It was standing room only as the DART board voted 12-3 to fund both the Cotton Belt rail line and the subway version of a second downtown light rail, known as the D2 subway, as part of their 2017 20-year financial plan. http://www.dallasnews.com/news/dart/2...

Re: Corporate Relocation/Expansions
I'm pretty shocked by the terms of that lease. Financial giant Goldman Sachs is apparently in final lease negotiations for upwards of 150,000 square feet of office space within Trammell Crow Center. [...]the New York-based firm could move its North Texas back office operations and 1,200 employees fr...

Perhaps they're waiting for the neighboring Cinepolis to open, so property values increase and they can charge higher rents to tenants?
