I really hope that Dallas is chosen as one of the premier host cities, even for the World Cup Final. Nobody will confuse the DFW area for a "Soccer Town", but there are tons of great things going for it: - National Soccer Hall of Fame - Tons of training facilities (Frisco, Moneygram, etc) ...

What a great amenity this will be. Hopefully whatever takes over the Spaghetti Warehouse space is able to take advantage of all that space fronting the park. Possibly build out a patio or ground-floor retail of some kind.

It would be awesome if it could do something similar to what the MATA has done (next to KWP) and go near the deck park by the zoo. I'm not sure if it's feasible to get over there the way the roads are currently aligned, but who knows what that area will look like in 10 years.

It would be fine IMO if they just built out the faux-historic piece to match the existing Lizard Lounge building, but adding the completely contrasting tower on top of it looks really bad. Very theme park-y.

It is interesting that they're going to seemingly more reliable cuisines in Italian and Tex-Mex. I don't know why bao hasn't caught on fully just yet, but it seems like a trend that some people just can't quite get on board with.

I guess it's too early to know, but would this development on the El Fenix site at least have ground floor retail/restaurants? It seems like Lake Cliff Park is a sleeping gem.

Two things: 1) I wouldn't say that GNR playing at Globe Life Park indicates AT&T lost the show. I think this is just a spreading of some of the bigger concerts across the Metroplex. I think it is reasonable to say that we've now got three pretty substantial stadium venues in play for these types...
