The Butler's parking garage has been there for over 40 years, so it has a good excuse. Everything else, agree. I also find it hilarious that we have a thread dedicated to parking garages. This thread alone epitomizes the cultural significance of Dallas' carcentric mentality. On another note, aren't ...

Dunhill is keeping too tight a reign on the DD. I find it very telling that while new projects are being floated in almost every other neighborhood, very little is even on the drawing board here. They risk missing the market, at which point they become another Spire/Midtown. For as long as they hav...

I disagree. While this project is heavily car oriented with its pedestal parking garage and a massive parking garage next door--which is still in need of the cladding we were promised--the projects are essentially centered around the water gardens in front of Fountain Place. The plan is to have reta...

It's ironic that there is literally a big tech bubble bursting on the stock market right now as we speak, Amazon included. Bezos has personally lost 42 billion as the big tech names have lost 20% in value, nearly a trillion dollars, in less than a month.

To be fair--and I say this as someone who hates buildings built on parking garage pedestals--it is very difficult and expensive to build parking underground since you hit limestone after going 10 feet underground.

Overall, I'm loving the presence it is invoking on the skyline. It really does serve well as a compliment to Fountain Place.
