Re: Could Dallas land Amazon HQ '2'?

I was at Kroger's yesterday and picked up a six-pack of Miller Lite to take home to watch NFL Football and was properly informed by a store employee that I couldn't buy the beer until 12 Noon. I thought to myself, Amazon would not want to HQ in a place as backward as this.

Re: DALLAS to HOUSTON High Speed Rail

I think the HSR project could be an excellent infrastructure project to bring investment back into to Houston after Harvey. Since this is a private project, my mind was going in the opposite direction. Meaning, if Houston starts declining as a city, there is less incentive for this project to actua...

We've always know they were going to cover those parking floors. That is why I've always wondered about the venom directed at this nice in-fill tower. The renderings always suggested it would look just fine.

Re: LA's new tallest, The Wilshire Grand

Are they counting that antenna in the building height? If so, is it REALLY LA's tallest? Yeah, the "spire" is 294 feet tall. So, this is a nice looking tower, but it's NOT the tallest building in Los Angeles. http://urbandallas.us/images/la_tallest.jpg source: SkyscraperPage.com

Re: DALLAS to HOUSTON High Speed Rail

Maybe this has been discussed before, but I missed it. What is the logical reason for having the Houston end of the line terminate at the 610 Loop instead of downtown? I'm assuming there must be one. The article in the News this morning noted the fact, but provided no rationale for it. Personally, I...
