Hopefully the park project will get up and rolling in the next year or two as well. I think there's been a fairly decent track record of downtown parks spurring growth in the immediate vicinity. Even Belo Garden, whether intentionally or not, is a neighbor to the newly-remodeled Westin.

Royal Blue asking for handouts from the city seems pretty lame. I mean, I guess it's shrewd to take free money where you can get it, but it just sends a bad message when it is a pretty high-end grocer.

No kidding, I live pretty close to the UTD station, so it would be neat to be able to hop on the train a couple stops and be in Downtown Addison, or Downtown Carrollton for that matter.

I drove by it the other day (prior to the grand opening), and it looks really nice. There are tables and chairs setup underneath the circular structure, which is pretty large.

Wow, yeah that is really lame by Mudhen. There are tons of people at the Farmers Market on the weekends. If you give them a compelling reason to come by (whether from nearby or further out), the people will come.

Maybe it's just a weird angle, but it seems to me like the park is at grade and that the access road on the east side of 35 is dug out underneath the walkway.

For those curious, I just did a calculation off a zip line tutorial, and the Dallas-to-Houston zip line would only need to be about 60,000 feet tall. Totally doable!
