Hopefully the park project will get up and rolling in the next year or two as well. I think there's been a fairly decent track record of downtown parks spurring growth in the immediate vicinity. Even Belo Garden, whether intentionally or not, is a neighbor to the newly-remodeled Westin.

Royal Blue asking for handouts from the city seems pretty lame. I mean, I guess it's shrewd to take free money where you can get it, but it just sends a bad message when it is a pretty high-end grocer.

I don't see them lasting in that spot if they do indeed go forward with it.

As a millennial, there are two things I love more than anything else:
1) Games and hoopla
2) The satisfaction in knowing that I am leeching value from square footage that could be put toward more profitable endeavors

Wow, yeah that is really lame by Mudhen. There are tons of people at the Farmers Market on the weekends. If you give them a compelling reason to come by (whether from nearby or further out), the people will come.

It's not my money, but I would have liked to see retail along the parkside too. Having the exclusive tenant lounge and lobby face the little one acre park seems like a bit of a waste.

I hope this park does well. I wonder if there will be plans for festivals/events in the open space, similar to Main Street Garden? There does not appear to be much in the way of amenities, not that that is necessarily a bad thing.

For those curious, I just did a calculation off a zip line tutorial, and the Dallas-to-Houston zip line would only need to be about 60,000 feet tall. Totally doable!
