That whole area needs to build up and create more density. To many disparate lots and old buildings. Needs to connect more to Uptown and be walkable. Area really needed that Central Market mixed use project to center area as a destination.

A coup here would be to convince Target to move across the street and open a large urban store in this development other retail would follow and build out more residential towers. Then you could finally redevelop around the Cityplace tower.

The Galleria is quickly becoming just a business park with a hotel component. Time to redevelop all the way from tollway to Preston and make it one cohesive area.

I thought the tall towers were supposed to be hotel condo mixed use towers not the actual office building for Goldman. I guess this is better than seeing them consolidate in Irving, Southlake or Frisco.

Is there any reason that we should give up on this? I never expected this to be a quick in and out project. Anytime you do mixed use and high profile high end it takes much longer to see any dirt move. Plan 3 times build once. I still think this is a go just not tomorrow.

I just wish one developer would put together a Mid-rise Apartment development between Oak Lawn and the Tollway somewhere along Lemmon. The land usage density along there is abysmal.

What really sucked the wind out of Downtown Dallas was Las Colinas in the 1980's and beyond, then Plano, then Frisco.....and the beat goes on. Imagine if we could have kept the center and heart of big business in Downtown Dallas and not let the suburbs capture what they have over the last 5 decades....

Sometimes I wonder if in the developer offices for all of these projects in Dallas open up this site and laugh and take bets on what is said all the while knowing what is really going on that we the public won't know until they are ready for us to know.

I noticed a couple of nights ago that the LED lights on the building had some kind of diffuser put on them although most but not all had them probably still covering them. They seemed to have a much more finished and subtle look.

I think the issue with this is that the surrounding areas to get to this mall are either empty lots or run down strip centers. The whole area needs cohesive redevelopment not just the Galleria itself. It feels a bit like an island because of the general area.

I don't understand the use of any palms in Dallas area as they seem really out of place with the climate and nature scape that exist here. I think it started as a trend at some point like country french or tuscan style and really should end.

The lincoln site seems like they could have captured so much more density and profit even going up just a few more floors. I don't get it surely that property was expensive to purchase.

It does have a great city view looking back towards downtown but it is not really near or connected to anything and sits up on that island like piece of land. They seem to only build condo buildings in Dallas to appeal to a large sq. footage high dollar buyer so it is a limited pool of buyers.

The developer also has not moved on the Klyde Warren Park building as well so maybe financing?, timing? who know at this point. I guess for the foreseeable future this will be an empty block and I will have to keep driving up to Lover Lane.

I wonder how they could parlay that property they own along Lemmon into a store. It might have to be a midrise mixed use with parking underneath like the Tom Thumb near Victory. We are still waiting and waiting and waiting for the Central Market mixed use to start un Uptown at Lemmon and McKinney ave.

One of those larger areas underground could be turned into a fun bowling alley bar theme place with other games. Let all of it be turned into nightclubs underground with restuarants and stores moved to street level.

The nighttime picture looks like a real building and looks good. The early photos look more like generic place holders cut and paste. would love to see more towers cross over into this area.
