Who in the hell thought that the Pacific and Elm alignments were good ideas? Those are the most idiotic alignments. I was hoping for something that more integrally connects the southern section of downtown.

Excellent! I'm really impressed with that plan! It is excellently integrated. It's amazing how Downtown has transformed from a ghost town in the 90s to the life it has today, but this plan will truly bring life into Downtown.
How long do you suppose it will be until this is finally realized?

With the explosion of development along Ross Avenue, both in Downtown and East, I think it would be a good idea to build a trolley line along it. If not a trolley line, maybe in the future a subway that runs parallel with it.

Dallas is in a process of major transformation. That's why things are so messy. We are struggling to become a walkable city, and for the past decade and so, the city has made tremendous progress and stride. I look forward to Elm Street's complete reconfiguration. Especially in Downtown.

20 years ago when DART ran its first train, people said the system was such a waste of money. Fast forward to today and look at all of the high dollar, very dense development that it is spurring. What we are seeing is New York City density being built around these stations.

With all of the major developments happening around Pacific and he DART traffic, that alone makes it a highly trafficked area. Put DART underground, but keep the stations located at the same locations, then you still maintain that high volume of pedestrian traffic. It would work in Downtown.

The DMN has been in a decline for a few years now thanks to independent journalism via the internet. It's not just DMN. It's all the major corporate news broadcasting networks on television. They are all taking huge hits loosing viewership and subscribers.

I have a theory that the suburbs will be the future slums. Dallas' northern suburbs would be an exception due to the fact that so many corporate headquarter relocations are moving out there. In the highly unlikely scenario that D1 were to be buried underneath Pacific--a pipe dream for many of us, indeed--it would be great to have Pacific turned into an entirely pedestrian corridor.

Actually, I do. Remove the wall that was built around it. Though it may be fairly short, it is still a wall that cuts the park off from the streets. Yes! I am excited that they are finally going to demolish that ugly ass shopping strip. That place was one of the worst eye sores along my DART commutes. But why are they keeping the parking lot? That just seems counterproductive.

There was an article about this project posted on skyscrapercity's Dallas Development page last year. I'll try to find it. The entire building is getting an ultra modern facelift. It will be one of the most ultra modern jewels in the CBD when it is completed.

A third Skyhouse would be more appropriate for Las Colinas. Las Colinas needs to grow in height/density. It has so much potential, especially with its lake and canal.
