Re: Downtown Dallas: Hillwood Urban's ~50 storey tower on former BoA motorcourt
There's gotta be a way to submerge/conceal more of Woodall Rogers which any construction on this site could help address. The old BoA motorcourt lot and the El Fenix lot could easily have a seamless connection if developed properly

Re: Downtown Dallas: Sheraton Hotel
Not much to like or admire with the Sheraton's recent renovations. In many ways, I prefer how it looked before, although that wasn't exactly memorable either. The older photos cre8tive shared are just stunning and markedly above anything adopted by the hotel in the past several decades. It really wo...

This is the best news i've heard on here since SHTF. Was getting a little disenchanted with all the prospects in Uptown... as far as i'm concerned, this project is a godsend. Anything beats an empty Gold's gym and a Truluck's parking lot

They're gonna show quality art/clips on that LED screen when it's officially open, right? I'd rather have ads than a power point slideshow of average wallpaper stock photos More Ads?... Re: Cityplace East: ACS/Xerox redevelopment
I really hope one of the buildings in this development is as tall, or taller than Cityplace Tower. It'd be nice to get some tall buildings outside of the CBD. Yeah like in Houston It's funny cause Houston's skyline was the first thing I thought of after seeing this. We have conglomerates of towers ...

It'd be so cool if they dedicated a small sliver of that screen for a stock ticker like in times square. Shawn Todd proposed something similar for the Pacific Plaza project if I remember correctly.

Re: KDC & Miyama Project - 30 ST
I agree the amount of ultra modern as of late has become a bit exhausting. With advanced CAD nowadays, I think it's easier for planners/architects to lose themselves in their own creative ambition. I think these renderings look fine, but unnecessarily complex and costly. The AMLI tower doesn't try t...

The Fairmount has got to do away with those bare, ugly, pink, windowless strips of nothingness on both of its towers. Riverfront Blvd is one shitty stretch of road, that's for sure. I hope for some serious effort on the city's end to make that mess of an area more appealing. Why such a modest height, for a project of this magnitude, at THIS location? How about a more imposing design? Or lights that rival the Omni/BOA Plaza? Something that elicits a little more pride... something a little more striking... It's not bad, but it doesn't really look like the project is seizi...
