Re: Henderson Avenue Corridor

Jack & Ginger's opened today and I checked it out and had dinner there. I enjoyed the spot, the food was just alright, beer selection was good and it seemed like they had an extensive whiskey list as well. 77 Degrees was also open as well, but there weren't that many people there (then again, i...

Re: Reunion (Tower, hotel, and??)

I'd love to see more retail around Union Station. Make Union a real hub. Something like St. Louis did. Make it DART, Greyhound, HSR, Streetcar all connected. Have more mid rises and maybe make it a nice little neighborhood. connect N. Oak Cliff to Cedars and downtown.

I wish SW downtown had more development with Hunt. I do feel like it's got great potential. However, With new towers instead of the current apartments I think we can really fill a big hole in the skyline. I hope we can get 500' plus in height at least. Still waiting on Hillwood....

The owner of Jack & Gingers/ 77 degrees had some code compliance "upgrades" to be made. They had a soft opening of Jack & Gingers, but nothing official. I don't remember exactly what the code issues were though. I will say that if the crowds at both places were anything to go by th...

I was apart of the engineering side of things. Some of the routes and station locations were made before I ever came on. Everything DART told us was they always wanted a two track line from DFW to at a minimum Wylie. They also said Plano and Richardson were putting pressure on them to put some of th...

I wonder how the Silver route will overlap with the Red/Orange line. There isn't much room between Cityline/Bush and 12th Street for 2 more parallel tracks, but on the other hand, the non-electric Silver trains can't run on the electrified Red/Orange line. I have seen recent work on the east-side e...

I hate to say it but sonic ice is a thing. I only will have ice in my drink if it is "sonic/QT" style ice. It sounds dumb I realize, but I don't care for ice in my drink. However, this type of ice has somehow been ok with me. Just about everyone I know prefers this type of ice as well.

When people say just make it a blvd. all I can think of is drunk people being hit at night or cars flying 30 mph too fast down the road. Tunnel 345. Toll it even and give people the option to use city streets for free or toll highway tunnel, but just don't make a boulevard.

I wish they would have put white lights on the trees like Alamo did. Looks nice and inviting. They need to fix Davis though. It's dark and the street is like driving in the Baja. I'm also wondering how long the owner of that old dingy apartment complex on Bishop and 10th will hold out?

635 Will take 4 to 5 years to complete. I do know also they will be closing the HOV lanes & reducing the # of lanes to 4 each way from 5 between Greenville Ave. & Galloway Ave. during construction. All I can say is thank goodness they decided not to build a depressed section for the HOV lanes.
