I have been to downtown Dallas several times..day and night...and I never felt unsafe by the homeless. Guess what? Every major city has a homeless issue. Get a grip people....

First world problems. Oh no!! So the residents complaining never heard of blinds or curtains?? This is building is a great addition to the neighborhood and for the city. Once the building is complete, it won't be as bright.

We already have a good skyline and it will continue to get better as they build more towers. Who cares if its not the prettiest buildings. We need density and more population in the city,

More people would live downtown if rents were priced a bit lower. Dallas is a cool city but it's not NYC, LA or Chicago. Set aside a few units in each building for people that make less than $40K a year and more people would move to the city.

A great addition to the Downtown skyline. The view from the top of this hotel will be incredible. You will not only be able to see the bridges, but you will get awesome views of downtown and uptown.

People often overlook the Design District's greatest assest: The best views of the city. One can get great views of both Uptown/Downtown and parts of Trinity river and bridges.

Victory Park has decent pedestrian activity. I have always liked VP proximity to West End and the Design District. Victory Park is one of the "newer" neighborhoods too in downtown so it some time. A few years from now, I expect VP to be a lot more vibrant.

I am happy to see taller buildings as well in the DD. It accents our current skyline very well and makes our city look more impressive in size/scope. NYC or Chicago, we are not but we are slowly getting there.

Those are incredible views of Uptown and Victory Park. It looks dense and reminds me of downtown Vancouver. This will be a great addition to the city but hopefully they will build some affordable housing.

That's so great to hear. I'm old enough to remember when downtown Dallas was a ghost town in the 90's and early 2000's. Last time I was in downtown--which was about a year ago--it seemed much more vibrant. I saw families, people walking their dogs, a good mix of people and different backgrounds/race...

If I could pick one place to live in Downtown in the near future, it would be the East Quarter district. It's a great location and is "true urban" as compared to Design District or Uptown. It's so close to all the hot spots--Discovery District, Deep Ellum, Farmer's Market and CBD/The Munic...
