Apparently Headington loves them and helped bring them here. Still awesome though. And agree with your earlier post DPatel on another thread...Downtown isn't something until it is. It's already come a very long way from 10 years ago.

Re: New Census Population Estimates

So per this article, DFW added ~1.35M residents. I've seen some sources say that Dallas city proper added ~150K residents from 2010-2019. So the mix was around 10:90 Dallas:Suburbs (incl. FW). Now within that 10%, I have no idea how much was in "urban" vs. non-urban neighborhoods. Even if ...

Re: New Census Population Estimates

Assuming this pace of population increase continues, it will be interesting to see how the people and developments are allocated to urban areas, Dallas proper, and suburbs. Even if the increase continues as it has - most going to suburbs - it should still instigate a ton of new urban development. I'...

Re: Arts District: Flora & Olive Tower (~441 FT / ~39 ST)

The boutique hotel should help a little (more so than the handful of lux residences I'd think), but we'll have to wait for the Atelier to start filling up to bring a bunch more bodies down there on a regular basis. Followed by the JW Marriott which should have a much bigger impact than the Hall hotel.

The entire neighborhood is being constructed out of thin air, to the point where it's not so much exciting, but downright uncomfortable to witness. Not many folks seems to actually live there anymore (or yet). It's like one of those terrible, far-flung McMansionville neighborhoods in the middle of ...

Having been to both, Loro and Niwa are two entirely different things / concepts. Loro is more of an American BBQ with Asian flavors. Niwa is more a traditional Japanese style BBQ, but not remotely BBQ in the American sense of the word. I'd think they'd have very little true overlap.
