Re: Most Exciting Projects of 2020

No D3 school should have 15K stadium for basketball. Now if you make it multi-use, it would be fine; but a hard sell nonetheless given UTD's academic and research focus. There are vague plans about an athletic district for basketball and soccer, but I've not seen any renderings or a timeline. UTD d...

Re: Victory Park 3.0

Went to Victory Plaza during the Mavs game last night and it was packed! Lots of people in Hero, lots of people hanging out in the plaza just watching the game on the big screen. Prior to the construction of those, there was no buffer and all of the rain water wou...

Re: Downtown Dallas: 2000 Ross Project

I was always under the impression that this project was going to be completed in a phased approach with the garage and retail being phase one, the hotel being phase two, and residential being phase three. I could imagine they are trying to finalize the details of the hotel deal before they move full...

Re: Trinity River Park

I'm not so sure that either of those statements will come to be true. 1. The park is being built with privately raised funds. 2. The article makes it sound like the designers and engineers on the project are very much aware of the fact that this is a floodplain and have very consciously designed the...
