Re: Downtown Dallas: Hillwood Urban's ~50 storey tower on former BoA motorcourt

I find the view from the Reunion Tower to be pretty mediocre. Plus it's not something you can really walk to either, so I'm all for more sky lobbies from different locations that are more accessible.

Victory Commons Two & Three would be such a waste. Why do you say that? Generic, zero effort office towers with more parking garages lining 35. Would much rather see some more residential, or even mixed-use towers go in there, all the way up to The Katy. I'm not completely opposed to them becau...

I kept getting e-mails about how this project would 'destabilize' the neighborhood. I guess the opponents were trying to convince everyone that if we allow this developer to re-zone this plot of land, then it creates a precedent that other developers can start re-zoning, which isn't fair to past dev...

I am curious as to why people put EQ and DD at the top of the list for future development. Each of those areas is controlled by a single developer. What happens there will be more of a function of what they want to do, and less of what an open market is asking for. Open areas like DE seem to offer ...

Yikes, that's highly unfortunate. It really sounds like more funding is needed so that current bus routes can be kept in tact and additional frequency can be added to a few select routes, but I doubt that'll happen anytime soon.
