That drain tunnel's depth is 120ish feet so I'm not sure it would conflict. Some interesting examples of highway removal. Man, I hope this one happens. IMO this is the single most encouraging project out of everything currently proposed. A nice-looking, tall residential building that will hopefully bring life to a part of downtown that's been mostly overlooked for decades.

That's very cool but yes, it's an older design iteration. The office building on Knox that incorporates the former Mashburn facade is probably the closest thing from that video to the current design.

I think a 35 story residential tower being built in the heart of downtown, as opposed to its edges, Deep Ellum, Uptown, etc, is pretty spectacular, regardless of what the building looks like. I happen to like the building's appearance so for me this is a win/win!

Frankly, mixed-use residential is a best case scenario, in my opinion. There could always be a ground-floor gym so the only thing lost is that ugly YMCA structure.
