I've always been amazed at how few restaurant/bar choices there are in a hotel with this many rooms. The Adolphus, Anatole, and Statler all have more restaurants/bars, yet fewer rooms.

I know housing first has worked really well in other cities, and BC Workshop has helped out with a small village here in Dallas, but that takes a lot of money to start up and sustain. I still hate the design and I mean hate but the two positives are its an affordable brand in an area I would like to see this kind of development and at least we got street trees and a nice wide pedestrian-friendly sidewalk. The central library is one of the few places one can go to in their situation, outside of a shelter, and not get run off by police or property owners. A higher barrier fence will probably look better, but having actual work going on behind it would be even better than that.
