Re: Las Colinas/North Irving Development
Interesting reference I ran across: https://www.nctcog.org/getmedia/17c64cc5-8025-4814-a7f9-54da6dea6e21/agendapacketrtc09142023.pdf?ext=.pdf Search the document for "DCURD". Anyone know additional info about what may be in the works for the APT system? I actually live in Las Colinas, thou...

Re: Las Colinas/North Irving Development
Agreed. The site has always seemed questionable to me for retail, with no visibility and tricky access. Destination businesses like LTF might help. Thanks for the info.

Re: Las Colinas/North Irving Development
Say Kelley, looks like construction has started again on the site at Bush Tpk and Las Colinas Blvd (where Market Street was going to be). Any idea what’s planned now? I’m guessing retail since there’s a “For Lease” sign by the road. Good to see movement again after they dozed the trees then stopped.

Nice. Hope it’s something really significant. Any indication of how much of the remaining empty property was included? Seems like such a great site.

The newly renovated Plaza at Williams Square opened this week. Huge improvement… much more pleasant space to be in. I’ll try to add some pics.

Re: Las Colinas/North Irving Development
Thanks for the info. Would rather have had both a Schlotzky’s and a Starbucks in the neighborhood, but it could have been worse I suppose.

Re: Las Colinas/North Irving Development
Say Kelley, any idea what’s in the works for the former Schlotzky’s on Oconnor? I would hope for a newly renovated Schlotzsky’s, but doesn’t seem like they would have removed the exterior signage for that. Sniff.

Re: Las Colinas/North Irving Development
Any idea if this is being proposed for the parcel directly north of Williams Square (where DCURD has been rebuilding the retaining wall along the lake) or the parcel further west, across the street from TMF? Very exciting either way.

Re: Victory Park: The Victor (~453FT / 39ST)
I think you’re right. On the north side of the tower, facing Nowitzky Way, there appears to be a sample of the final finish going on. You can see it in the photo above. Should really make the building stand out.

Re: Arts District: Flora & Olive Tower (~441 FT / ~39 ST)
I thought the same thing, but when I drove by the Victor construction site this weekend, it’s apparent they are adding what looks like a white plaster finish on the concrete. And as poor as the concrete finish is, I’m really relieved. (If Tadao Ando were the architect, he would have punched someone....

Re: Arts District: Flora & Olive Tower (~441 FT / ~39 ST)
Here’s a simple observation (and it’s something that’s perplexed me since I’ve been following the forum). On the website’s landing page, there are multiple categories, including two for “issues” discussions (urban and suburban) and two for “development” discussions (again, urban and suburban). I cer...

No updates during this meeting, though the topic appears to be a standing item an their agenda... maybe only when there are specific updates to report/discuss.

Re: Las Colinas/North Irving Development
Listened in on the monthly DCURD meeting recently (they’re conducting it virtually now, like everyone else) and was interested to hear updates on a couple of items in the Urban Center. Apparently the rework of the plaza in front of Williams Square is still underway. They said the funding is already ...

But don't worry, My Best Friend's Dog Park is moving to a bigger location.”

Re: Las Colinas/North Irving Development
Got word this week that Kabuki at the Music Factory will be closing permanently tonight (the one in Plano is already closed apparently). The parent company, who also owns Blue Fish, will replace Kabuki by relocating the Blue Fish from 114 @ MacArthur. Hope the switch works, and doesn’t kill both res...
