Re: Uptown Dallas: Central Market at McKinney and Lemmon
Ok finally straight from the higher up mouth of HEB/Central Market. I was shopping this last Saturday at CM at Northwest Hwy and noticed a person with a name tag on but was dressed up and the store was extra alert. I realized this was an onsite visit from Corporate. I went up and straight asked wha...

Re: AT&T Discovery District
This place is on fire. For anyone who hasn't been down there yet I highly would recommend checking it out. The screen alone is worth making a special trip for. But beyond that, the level of pedestrian activity is off the charts for downtown. I've never seen anything like it. And the food hall is bar...

They failed to secure the construction materials on this site. The video in this tweet shows them flying off in the direction of the original fountain place: https://twitter.com/roarecashin/status/1137796804567797762?s=21 This picture after the storm shows what appear to be windows out on Fountain P...

Re: Downtown Dallas: City Lights
Confirmed. The cranes from the currently under construction phase fell over during the storm onto the already occupied part of the project. Went to Hero for the Stars final game against Nashville. The entire place was tuned to the game and everyone was watching it on the edge of their seats. Two things really stuck out to me. First, they had the windows open in the northern half of the bar, all along the east side next to the plaza, and...

Re: Uptown Dallas: Business Openings and Closings
Does anyone know any details about the renovation of the retail space at Rosewood Court? It looks like they're tearing out a fairly large sized chunk in order to put something big in. Maybe a two floor restaurant? That’s where Flower Child is going. They just put up some banners outside the space t...

Used to go all the time before living in Dallas. I’m normally not a fan of chains but this place does some great food, assuming the quality hasn’t degraded.

Re: East Dallas: Ross Avenue Corridor
Bryan Place is a dead end neighborhood I disagree. I drove through Bryan Place for the first time just a couple weeks ago and was very impressed with the density and character that exists there. The houses have virtually no space between and the streets are indeed extremely tight. I can certainly u...

Are there still any apartment complexes under construction in Victory Park? I drive past this one almost every day. It’s been topped out for a long time but still not done from what I can tell. Plywood covers all the windows on the south side and there’s still construction equipment on site. https:...

It appears that over the weekend they increased the height of one of the tower cranes. I’ve never seen this before so it sort of feels like my eyes are just playing tricks on me. Can anyone else confirm?

I tried it once. The food was mediocre and the service was downright bad. The decor was cool though. I had high hopes as well when it first opened, but for those who never made it I promise you didn’t miss much.

Re: Could Dallas land Amazon HQ '2'?
It is still too easy to live in Victory and get in your Audi to go to the West Village instead of using DART to do even that. As a person who lives near VP and regularly goes to West Village, I can tell you that taking the DART rail there makes no sense whatsoever. It's way easier to walk approxima...
