Re: Oak Lawn

The former Cedar Grove spaces looks closer to opening. Looks like a fresh coat of pain has been done inside as well as some additional dry wall work. Looks very nice.

Re: Oak Lawn

Does anyone know what is taking the old Cedar Grove restaurant space on the corner of the Ilume building. work is taking place inside. Looks like the subdivided the space into two. There is still a lot of leftover furniture inside though so unsure if there is any tenant actually moving in or they a...

Re: Uptown Dallas:Trammell Crow Tower

I've always hated that Trulucks. Hopefully it dies.. The shopping center across the street also should be redeveloped; it's time for something mixed use there. Tons of potential on this end of McKinney Ave. Have hated it since they moved it back and put the parking lot on McKinney. Agreed hope it d...

http://dallas.culturemap.com/news/restaurants-bars/07-25-19-flying-biscuit-cafe-closures/ Flying Biscuit has closed both of their locations in DFW. For what its worth, I used to live in Atlanta so was very excited when it opened, but the service was incredibly bad on my one visit to their downtown l...

Re: Uptown Dallas: Routh and Cedar Springs

So this is the replacement of Concrete Cowboy, Kung Fu, and Clutch. I wonder if it will start next year as planned or will fizzle out and we will be left with empty buildings or worse torn down buildings and an even larger parking lot. Hope so. I know there's been rumors for years of knocking those...

Re: Downtown Dallas: 2000 Ross Project

In college, they told students studying city planning that the 80's crash in DFW was a real estate banking crash centered around investments in all that land around I-30 in Garland. Real estate values were grossly inflated because they were based on the tax benefits, not the income potential of the...

Re: Deep Ellum: Epic ~ Knights of Pythias Temple

So what was sustainable in the past that isn't now? Aren't some bars closing because they don't get enough traffic only on the weekends? I heard the idle rye owners say this in news story. It's easy to blame the lack of crowds, but it's BS. Idle Rye had inconsistent food. Sometimes great, frequentl...

Re: Arts District: Hall Arts Hotel & Residences

Maybe need to see this in full sunlight but I work nearby and this building is hideous. The glass or whatever design you'd call what they have on the Ross side is really not pleasant to look at.

There is actually some equipment moving dirt around this morning on the plot that is on the same side as Ross as the KPMG building. Not a ton of activity, but some after months of nothing.
