Actually they’re all under ground in the pedestrian tunnels. Particularly in the summer. The Dallas Pedestrian Network or Dallas Pedway is a system of grade-separated walkways covering thirty-six city blocks of downtown Dallas. The system connects buildings, garages and parks through tunnels and abo...
Going now on 7 years and still nothing to show, This is what Perot envisioned back in 2013 after the property purchase. “We are excited about this property in what we see as one of the last iconic sites in Dallas,” Perot said in a prepared statement. “We see tremendous potential in this site and env...
I’m guessing this rising cap is a new feature for this type of a sloping glass roof. It’s to provide security for the window washers who I believe have been training and testing it lately.
Wouldn’t it be cool if somehow the developer could incorporate this Leaning Tower of Dallas Into it’s development. Well it would draw more tourists to it and mean more business. LOL
Great! Even though the second Fountain Place tower was never built back in the eighties and would have been taller, this tower very nicely filled it’s place. In fact I think it looks different from more given angles than Fountain Place Tower.
Can’t believe it’s been more than half a year since they started on the crown structure part. It has been a slow process but finally glad to see we’re getting there.
Wonder why the entire office space was not in one tower as a centerpiece? There’s no height restrictions there. It simply looks to crowded. What’s with all those podiums? It needs some useable green areas and space for pedestrians.
Hope this link works. Construction has begun for Eastline 28-story Apt tower here is the rendering. https://www.bizjournals.com/dallas/news/2019/10/28/mockingbird-station.html?ana=TRUEANTHEMFB_DA&utm_campaign=trueAnthem%3A+Trending+Content&utm_content=5db829f48021ed000132a9d4&utm_medium=...
The top crown section has been slow to complete but I noticed yesterday that the east top slanted section is now getting the glass installed. Looking good.
I think the big hole with the crane bounded by Welborn, Congress, Brown and Hood streets just south of Oaklawn Ave is the contruction site for a 22-story apartment or condo tower. If I’m not mistaken there isn’t any renderings out yet,
I’m thinking this tower will be built on top of a parking garage and may not reach max height 620 ft. I’m also surprised that the FAA ruling on this, since there is no flight path through that area.
The Hines 23-story Victory Park Center office tower has not started construction. It has been a proposal for several years. So, why is Hines proposing to build a second office tower in the same vicinity of the Victory Park area?
One last note; DFW metro area is number one in the nation for office leasing as of the latest figures, yet we can’t erect an office skyscraper downtown like Houston can. Do we still have to much empty space downtown?
Eye popping addition, it may be from street level next to it but it won’t be from a distance, it seems that good design buildings in Dallas are getting lost between to many other mid high-rises. For example the new Rolex and the McKinney & Olive buildings great designs but needed to be taller to...
Yeah, I was thinking the same when I drove down Canton St. last week. Still no sign of activity, in fact it looked like the parking lots are still operating. I don’t think they have even drilled for soil samples. The first phase is supposed to start this fall. Just doesn’t look like it. We just have...
I think eventually it will get covered, they just want to finish the tower and maybe because they don’t want the glass to be damaged during the worst part of the construction is my guess.
I noticed that construction has stalled for about the last three weeks at the top. Does this mean that the tower is about to get started from the top of the base and just takes more time? Sorry if I missed it, but I hope no miscalculation has occurred.
I know the structure height of 895 may not be allowed by the FAA. I’m thinking they are testing the FAA to determine how high is allowed for this location. Remember what Harwood International did with those tall towers Uptown.
