Well, I would assume this project may be dead. After the city granted them incentives of 96.1 million yet they can’t get any tenants.

Re: Uptown Dallas - Field Street Development [North End Apartments Site]
What’s this about the development being a campus like setting which will only be 15 to 20 stories? Is this for real?
Or is this a heard it through the grapevine thing or what?

Wow!
Im starting to get lost in all these skyscraper developments downtown.
Could this eventually become a building boom like the 1980s?

I believe they got the info wrong, just because it’s over 80-stories they think it will be the tallest. But who knows we haven’t seen the final plans.

Just hoping that if there is a third tower it will not be 27-stories, it will be kinda odd to have three towers at the same height all together. Hopefully it may be taller as the center piece of the Development. I’m sure the developer is going to wait to see how fast or how well the leasing will be.

I don’t think the fence was replaced. A new cover to the fence was added featuring the renderings of the Field Street Tower.
This was done at least more than a month ago. Regardless, I can’t believe that this development was first announced way back in 2013 and still nothing.

Since the center piece 83-story tower is based for residential at 890-ft in height. If it is changed to be all office, it would be well over 1000 and closer to 1200-ft, that is if Goldman Sachs wants this tower for office.

Now that we can see the top of the taller tower we can at least get a better perspective. Since this development is mix-used, the short one is actually the 42-story tower and the taller one is maybe about 50 or up to 60 stories?

They may look somewhat ugly open but there is a reason. Enclosed above ground and or underground parking garages require significant design efforts from a mechanical ventilation system. Therefore an architectural perspective that is more expensive.

Great! Even though the second Fountain Place tower was never built back in the eighties and would have been taller, this tower very nicely filled it’s place. In fact I think it looks different from more given angles than Fountain Place Tower.

Wonder why the entire office space was not in one tower as a centerpiece? There’s no height restrictions there. It simply looks to crowded. What’s with all those podiums? It needs some useable green areas and space for pedestrians.
