You know all they need to do is put a mirrored glass facade on the buildings and they will look like any other office building. I think the bigger problem with that cite is that it is cut off from the rest of Downtown. You are close to downtown but divided by a huge freeway.

I think this project has a great potential to help this end of the DMA too. the big open space at this end of the building is not as dramatic due to how open the area is... with a building across the street i think it will really help.

Perhaps it is just because i go down there a lot or know the city better than someone from Plano would but I rarely have an issue parking. I was a bit worried about it last Saturday night when we were there but a spot on the street near Local opened up before we were even really looking for a space....

In fact why not take the road between the DMA and the Nasher and turn that into a park? We could create more green space with the same or less money. As much as we'd love to see Harwood closed and reprogrammed as an expansion of KWP, the DMA will never give up access to its garage or the bus lanes ...

I agree - this will do a lot to connect Downtown/Uptown to Victory. I would so love to see a little spur off the existing trolley line down Olive Street to the AAC - it's only 1/2 mile... seems to me it could have a huge impact - including lots of riders.

It seems to me that DART should integrate the line more into it's overall transit scheme... meaning that some busses that go to the transit mall should now drop people off to take the trolley into downtown. As for the DART rail, pretty much the only folks who use that to visit Deep Ellum are a handful of families with kids during the day on weekends and the "bad guys" at night. Almost every crime report in the area ends with "The suspects were last seen headed towards the DART rail stat...
