Re: Could Dallas land Amazon HQ '2'?

I wonder if the Matthews land is otherwise tied up with Texas Central as part of the HSR deal?

Re: Could Dallas land Amazon HQ '2'?

Is it in a flood zone or area that could be susceptible to rising sea levels? No. What about the ability to draw tens of thousands of new workers to relocate from other US areas in spite of the recent disaster and common flooding? Unaffected. 3/4 of a mile from a station isn't too good either, espe...

Re: Could Dallas land Amazon HQ '2'?

Realized that, but also realize they aren't going to get 100+ acres that meet all their other requirements in an urban environment in a good city near mass transit for a $5 billion project cost. If they can get the 40-45 acres, plus maybe eventually ~15-20 more where the Target center is, they can ...

Given a choice between the two, the hyperloop concept seems more appealing, but as it was correctly pointed out ...

Re: MATA: M-Line Trolley

Does anyone have insight into how the street car program on the MATA operates or the history behind the present-day lines? I'm working on a project that's investigating street cars versus light rail and would be interested to hear from those with experience on the MATA.

Re: Knox: The Katy

The penthouse units at The Taylor, in the heart of Uptown, went for $9,400/mo.

The $10,000 unit is probably closer to 3,000 SF and >$3.00 pSF.

But still...that's a new Mercedes or two every year in straight rent...good luck.
