Yea, this seems to be turning out better than I thought. And it's more imposing on the skyline than I had anticipated for only 10 floors. Curious to see what comes of the rest of the property. Whatever happened to the apartment complex with retail that was approved next door?? Appreciate the pics!

I personally think an elevated rail line would be an incredible eyesore that would not age well. Once it gets built, there it is, for decades and decades. It's kind of like the transit mover in Las Colinas, just pillar upon pillar of an elevated system that's not attractive to look at.

Looks like a place called BRUNCHEON is coming to Water Street (Brunch / Lunch spot). They have one other location they opened in 2022 in Richardson. Looks decent. Have always thought the Urban Center needed a good brunch spot for people to walk to.

Easily one of the most exciting developments we've seen around here in awhile. And from an architecture standpoint, it's not a dud like we normally get. Can't wait to see this one completed, and to see what type of tenants they get to fill that 100K sf of retail.

I can confirm that 54th is closed. Signs have already come down off the building. Remember, they opened when the center still had Dick's & Best Buy. Once those 2 stores left, the center was pretty much doomed. As someone else mentioned, location was not the best either.
