Isn't the change in Deep Ellum just more of a sign of the changing times, more than anything? The whole grunge/metal/punk rock thing isn't as popular as it was back in the 90s, so Deep Ellum today is just a reflection on how society has changed. This is way off base. Every holiday season, the CTA has a holiday train that runs on different lines up until Christmas that has a Santa car and an elves workshop car. It would be cool to see DART do something similar to help boost some holiday season ridership "Today the cost to the CTA to run the train is minimal...

The lack of skateparks in Dallas has amazed me since I was a 14 year old (I'm 33 now) little skater. I've always thought Deep Ellum would be the perfect place for one. There used to be a home made one built by skaters tucked away in the area

While I’m not a big fan of the town at all, the campus is pretty nice and worth checking out if you’re ever in that area. Had this new campus been open when I was in school, I probably would have gone a few semesters there at least.

I hope they keep the same floor plans. I dated a girl that lived there for a few years about 10 years ago and I loved the way the apartments were laid out.

Deep ellum live was always my favorite large venue as a teen. My love for the smell of stale beer (I know t smells bad, but it reminds me of going to punk shows as a teen) started here!
