Re: The Cedars Developments
Speaking of views, and to veer off track just a bit, have y'all seen the view of the entire CBD and Uptown from the Sylvan Ave bridge at night? The bridge is angled such that all of the buildings line up to make one very long, continuous and beautifully lit skyline.

Re: Trinity River Park
I'll be the first to admit that I'm a total optimist and sometimes even gullible, but at this point, I'm at the "I'll believe it when I see it" stage regarding anything being accomplished with the Trinity River project.

Re: Addison Misc. Development
The new Nando’s will be at that giant development in Addison where Belt Line Road meets Dallas North Tollway, the one with the Whole Foods, Gorji, and new Loro. I’m not sure which space it is, specifically, but it will have a shaded patio seating 90 in addition to an interior designed by a London-b...

Re: Demolished (and about to be) Properties 2.0
Demolition is occurring at 1701 Canton St, behind the Butler Building and across from City Hall. I think this is a Hoque property, within the NewPark development.

Re: East Quarter: ~24 Building Redevelopment
I've noticed that in the past week, plywood walls with fake greenery have been put up on a couple of lots at the corner of Cesar Chavez and Commerce. I wonder if this could be staging for construction start of the new Isosceles tower.

Re: Restaurants: general news/development
I live within a mile of this center and I know of many families who will walk there to eat or just hang out. To be fair, there is a Kid's Empire there which is a big indoor birthday party kind of place, and a large lawn with lots of playground equipment, so yeah, tons of kids. Previously, the strip ...

Re: Downtown Dallas: Newpark Dallas/Smart District
Correct me if I'm wrong, but they're referring to Fire Station #18 at 660 N Griffin St as the one being replaced as part of this resolution, not Fire Station #4 which shares the block where the NewPark building site is. And the renderings show NewPark to wrap around the current FS #4 property, so it...

Re: Demolished (and about to be) Properties 2.0
811 S Akard St was torn down and cleared off recently. It sits across from the fire station at the intersections of Canton, S Akard and I-30 near the convention center and the proposed NewPark development. A very small parking lot is next to the property, but so far, no signs of anything but dirt on...
