Re: Oak Lawn
So is S4 going to close down while they tear down the back section of it, or somehow operate during a demolition? A lot of people didn’t scrutinize the plans well enough and almost nobody realizes that S4 is going to lose a big chunk on the rear side of the building. I believe this is the famous “R...

Re: East Dallas: Kroger
I live close to the Cityplace Kroger and was very happy when it opened. I also was impressed with their organic and quality selection. It seemed almost like a more affordable version of Whole Foods somewhat. It seemed they really made the store more generic in terms of options not long after it open...

Re: Downtown Dallas: AMLI Fountain Place (562 FT / 46 ST)
Maybe this has been brought up before but is the glass on this new building less reflective than Fountain Place? From many angles in the photos, the interior is very apparent seeing the interior (and things like blinds down) sort of breaks up the exterior sleekness. It may just be the difference in ...

I just wish they would re-open Jackson westbound. Sad it's been closed this long for this hideous addition.

As high as are most planes I see that go over Cityplace, another 8 stories probably wouldn't have mattered IMO. Living just a little over a mile east of that tower, I'm not sure. I'm no aviation expert by any means, but it does seem in low clouds/visibility planes approaching Love Field feel awfull...

Last summer there was the lawsuit with the city and Republic Ranch/Pilikia, as they were operating outside their intended use. Just noticed this: http://www.xoxodallas.com/. Looking at the promo video for their upcoming sneak peak event, it looks very much the party space again: https://www.facebook...

Looking great, and just think, they could have gone to Legacy West like everyone else. DTD really hit jackpot when we kept them here. Fun fact. I work for AT&T and back when we were AT&T Wireless (our own entity), we consolidated our Dallas offices at Legacy but on the east side across from...

How is anything I stated "horrible"? It's stating the obvious. But to answer your question, good quality buildings that are strong. It's a known fact that developers notoriously cut corners to maximize profit. I live in an apartment complex most likely built cheaper than that one, just do...

... Plus, you could move the ride-share pickup/dropoff to the same place to lighten the load on the main airport access road. One of the benefits of taking a ride-share to the airport is being dropped off right at the door. Why would anyone want to be dropped off a few thousand feet away when you c...

Oh no, the back lot of the Melrose (old Bronx location) takes that prize in spades. At least the parking lot is serving a need and it also does not front Cedar Springs.

It appears the the second kroger planned for Hall St. has stalled as well. Uptown/East dallas sure can use a second full service grocery to take some of the pressure off of the cityplace kroger.
