There seems to have been complete silence about the artists lofts portion of this project. Is it still happening? The website for the building says nothing about lofts, just says 364 luxury tower units. https://www.atelierdallas.com/cs/dallas-tx-apartments.asp But it is mentioned in this July 2018 ...

Uptown could clearly absorb a tower of this size but would rather they mix it up a bit. Maybe some residential and office.

I'm actually a little surprised Hines office project hasn't moved forward. Clearly there is demand out there and VP could use another office tower.

I keep waiting for them to decide that the flying cables issue is enough of an issue to go ahead and close the frontage roads too. Honestly, why can't they fix this?

I like all the ideas being thrown around, personally hope they keep the towers and find a way to erase the parking with lots of mixed use, maybe even add a couple large residential towers to help provide much needed housing and a fresh look along Stemmons.

If you pull up the KDC webcam you get a fairly good feel, imagine this plus the proposed Hines office tower. One can get a sense that DE will one day be surrounded by a mix of higher density residential and office products.

Sure seems that way but it is a fairly large building isn't it? I mean from one side to the other.

I-35 is lost for a generation, those new elevated ramps are going to make an already bad situation worse.

That 1963 image is amazing with the skyline in the distance. Wonder if a developer would consider residential?

The lobby is starting to take shape although March seems optimistic at this point. One thing for sure it will be bright. What is interesting to me is that these giant tech companies all list mass transit as an important part of there deal but Apple Google etc. all go to Austin which has some of the worst traffic and no rail system of any significance.
