BTW, I was at the Galleria in March (ironically enough, to go to that Express). The Macy's there was really looking worn down, especially for it to be a so-called flagship store. Why would they close a profitable store? The only reason I could imagine it wouldn’t be profitable is the rent rate. City council members publicly confirmed HEB is the store that is going into the Fry's area. The vote we talked about a few weeks ago is in fact for their in-store BBQ restaurant's liquor license. When you say "publicly confirmed," did they do so in a press release or a City Council meeting?

I tend to agree that some are bieing a bit too negative about Willow Bend's future. 1. It's located in one of the wealthiest parts of DFW. So from a demographic standpoint, the project should have no problem appealing to potential retailers. 2. Just 2 miles down the road, at Park & Preston, is a...

They really need to widen I-30 though. I know it's not ideal from the standpoint of improving walkability/urbanity, but if Rockwall County isn't getting transit any time soon, they will have to improve throughput ASAP with the explosive growth out that way.

I also wonder if 54th Street was leasing that location.
Failure to renew due to incompetence (that's what happened with the Meso Maya in Addison) or an unreasonable rent increase would cause them to close as well despite doing good business.
