Re: Downtown Dallas: City Lights
1 dead , 5 more critical condition. It was a very bad storm that tore through the area but unless it was a miceoburst or a small tornado I expect lawsuits to start flying for the crane not being secure enough, or at least an attempt to from the families of the victims. A new thunderstorm developed ...

Another one is One Biscayne Tower in Miami, and it's a very prominent building since it's unobstructed when viewed from Biscayne Bay.

Re: Dallas: Medical District
With the continued growth of the Medical District, continued growth of Southwest's corporate campus, and the growth of Love Field, it's natural for these types of establishments to pop up. Quick fast food or fast sit-down establishments will be served very well, and I personally think that is a grea...

Re: Uptown Dallas: M Line Tower - 20 Floors
Yeah, that just baffles me to bits. Why wouldn't they do floor to ceiling glass because they'll have just about the best views in all of Dallas and also for the price point they'll be charging.

Re: Little Mexico Village - Can someone explain
It's kind of like the big open field that is the half of the section 8 between Maple & Cedar Springs that was actually knocked down and the other still being occupied. It'd be great to redevelop or become a large open park, but the city just will not let it go or do something with it. The only a...

Re: Dallas Love Field Airport
Having worked at the airport long enough, there are plans to do a few things to the facility. One is a concept to extend runway 31R/13L out over Bachman Lake and partly over NW Highway to accommodate larger planes. DO NOT ask me how that even seem feasible. Another, and one that is probably a touch ...

The new garage is now above street level. Also, the pedestrian walkway connecting the garage to the upper level has been put into place over the weekend.

Now that's fantastic news! Thompson is an excellent brand with select locations. Their newest property in Nashville has been a big hit since opening in October.

Re: McKinney/Boll Tower - 2614 McKinney Ave - (18 ST)
There is also a need to redo the sidewalks near those places. It would be grand to have spacious pedestrian infrastructure along McKinney. Ditto. I wonder if there will one day be an inflection point so that the infrastructure of downtown caters to internal residents and employees rather than shutt...

Re: Downtown Dallas: AMLI Residential Tower
It may be reaching some, but I hope for some pretty decent architecture for this development since it is adjacent to one of the most recognizable skyscrapers in the world by a world-renown architect. Then again, it is a rental property so I won't get my hopes up too high.

Re: Knox: The Katy
$10k per month?! I have a hard time believing this'll fill up in a reasonable amount of time, if ever. You could buy a condo for cheaper. This may make sense to corporate businesses for temporary housing or something but even here I think that high a rent is hard to justify.

Is this still slated to have a Fogo de Chao at the street level? Yes it is! There is a Fogo de Chao banner hanging on the fence of the project. I'm still confused by the success of Brazilian Steakhouses!! : ) Because Americans are all about eating way too much food with unlimited portion sizes. Tha...

Re: DFW Airport
Expansion of the apron south of Terminal D could be a precursor to Terminal F coming to fruition in the next couple of years. I honestly do hope so and further the growth of the market and increase competition.
