Re: Northpark Center
I’m not sure that NorthPark is that desperate, but some of the returning stores are welcome returns.upstairs will be a great space for Ann Taylor. Is this level of shuffling normal at healthier malls though? Maybe a lot of these stores leased around the same time and are now renewing their leases, ...

Re: Northpark Center
It’s not a nail in the coffin, it’s just a weird use of space and definitely a sign that NorthPark’s feeling the same struggles as other retail centers in the area, or in the country for that matter. It’s a pretty widespread thing and even if they’re doing the best they can, they can’t help that the...

Ann Taylor is returning to Northpark on the 2nd floor across from Eataly. Unless it wasn’t doing well, I think H&M should come back and fill up all that space by Claire’s. Still hoping for Uniqlo. Ann Taylor isn't a bad store, they probably did well here and that space is definitely better. The...

Tommy Bahama has a 4th store in NorthPark as well. And the Plano store is at Legacy West (in fact, the only Tommy Bahama restaurant in DFW is there too). Yeah, but the NorthPark store has been there way longer than the locations in Plano and at Clearfork, both which are relatively newer centers. So...

It's possible that the chain performs well in Dallas as a whole, but their customer base simply no longer shops at the Galleria (and for what reason do they have to?). The Galleria looks awful. The inside is filled with wallboard, and from the tollway, you see a closed Belk, Pottery Barn, and soon to be closed American Girl. I really wish they’d move L’Occitane to that side of the mall too. But I guess we’ll have to see what takes that space in the Neiman Marcus wing. Tory Burch and Michael Kors would be nice on the Nordstrom / Macy’s side of the mall as well.
