Go talk to your local council member, identify your location with him or her and see if they can get it moved up the priority list. So overload 635? Divert pass-through traffic to 635, yes. This section of 635 is about to undergo reconstruction and widening as well. The link past Highway 80 currently has the capacity to handle the influx. Sometime in the future, PGBT will extend to IH-20 and can handle handle some flow as well....

Does anyone know if there is any data showing the % occupancy/vacancy of buildings in Downtown/Uptown based on decade complete?
The CBD is still around the 21-23% range I believe. Curious if you see larger vacancies in the towers from the 80's or is it more evenly split?

Those numbers are driven by the American Airlines Arena contract requirements. The operator of the arena is not here to argue urban redevelopment and reduced parking for transit use. They care more about having enough parking that they don't scare off tickets sales and events from booking the venue...
