Yeah as far as apartment leasing goes I've seen a significant number of people, mostly couples moving away from Uptown cause it became too much. They said it got too noisy and bar centric now things are closing so they want to follow development to other areas like Knox, Bishop Arts, Design District...

What he means is when the event is over tons of people cram on the trains and it takes a long time to get on the train because transit like DART was really designed for a much smaller number of people to get on and off at different stops. It still happens at the Fair every night when the park closes...

They might have been inspired by the Cabana Hotel across the way who also has a similar exterior type of decorative perforated skin. The same hotel was to be demoed now being restored.

That's a step down in size even though good shows happen at It'll Do all the time. I imagine they are still looking at where their next location will be but they are currently grandfathered in at Lizard's current abode so anything new will require some new service expectations.

It wasn't a true farmers market before when the city was running it into the ground and its closer to one than it used to be for that matter. I will always wish it well and the fact that townhomes and apartments keep going up nearby means its certainly doesn't seem to be scaring development away.

I think the problem is the West End is still pricey per square foot compared to a real warehouse district like the Design District where most breweries have been locating in Dallas. A tasting room is one thing but a full-fledged brewery location needs some decent space if they hope to market it wide...
