Sad. We probably have more sports teams than arts organizations. We live in an age of knuckledraggers.

Add:
Denton Stampede (NWFL) (added to DFW list in first post already.)
Austin Outlaws (NWFL)
Houston Energy (WPFL)
San Antonio Silver Stars (WNBA)
San Antonio Sidewinders (2006) (WPFL)
Dallas Diamonds (old late 70s WBL) (added to DFW list in first post already.)
Houston Angels (old WBL/WPBL)

I'm seriously starting to wonder why we have multiple female football league teams in DFW and no WNBA. Demographics have to be a no-brainer.

On the WNBA note, we do have the the NWBL Dallas Fury who won the title last year and are up to the final game this year I think. (There are only 6 teams.)

No appeal. Maybe have to NAL (National Art League). Each team has a sculptor, 2 painter, 6 musician, etc.. They could play at Reunion Arena, but they will need steroid testing. Each team will have a maximum of 6 players on the court at once.

I haven't figured out how you score yet. Or defense.

Maybe this has to be done WWE style.

How Bout Them Mavericks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so freaking excited about the Playoffs! The Mavericks could actually finish with a 8 game winning streak. The only way I see them losing a game in the regular season is if they begin to look past the regular season for the playoffs.

Suns vs. Grizzlies: Suns in 5.
Spurs vs. Nuggets: Spurs in 6.
Mavs vs. Queens: Mavs in 5.
Sonics vs. Rockets: Rockets in 5.

Under NO circumstance should testing for drugs of any type occur in the National Art League.

Looking at the teams right now, I have a hard hard time picking the Spurs. Nuggets might be the best team in the league right now. Especially with Duncan less than 100%.

rant, Have you watched the Mavs? I'm not saying your wrong, but until those two play each other its hard to tell. I wish they were playing each other before the season was over to get a feel of what Denver is. They are good.

Lets see how good they are in a 7 game series.

OK, this may be an idiotic question. But here it goes.......

1) Where is Dallas' WNBA team?
2) Why can't Dallas have it's OWN Baseball team!??
3) Will Dallasites clamor for another football team when the Cowboys leave!!??

Don't hurt me!@#$%^&*

Because baseball would never let it happen. There isnt a market here for two teams. The NFL would never let it happen cause theyve made it clear they are not looking at any other city except Los Angeles, ask San Antonio. Besides its the Dallas Cowboys and always will be the DALLAS Cowboys, It wouldnt sound right anyway else.

There isn't a WNBA team because most of those team were formed when the NBA counterpart teams were good. Chicago just recieved their WNBA team this year. There are already two in Texas.

I guess the question must be asked if there is enough people in DFW to care about WNBA in this region? Frankly, I don't see this as a Basketball Mecca. I know very few people who even care about the Mavericks. I do, but I'll watch every game if I can. WNBA doesn't sound fun to me. No dunking. No bruising defense. Basically its basketball that is more traditional but not very fun to watch.

Tell me the last time WNBA or Women's College basketball was talked about on Sports radio? Well its less often than FC Dallas, and FC Dallas doesn't get the play either.

I always thought a WNBA team would do well in Austin because of the large lesbian population.
